12 Years A Slave wins Academy Award
Congratulations to the cast of, “12 Years A Slave,” for winning the Academy Award for Best Picture, the highest honor in the land for a motion picture.
The director takes you through a journey about a man who lost his freedom overnight. What he thought was a business meeting turned out to be a scheme to sell him into slavery.
Lupita Nyong’o (shown center) touched America’s heart as she played the slave girl who was beaten by her slave master just for wanting a piece of soap to bathe with.
The movie was directed by Steve McQueen (left) and stars Chiwetel Ejiofor (right) who plays Solomon Northup, the free born African-American from New York who was kidnapped and sold into slavery.
This exciting and spell-binding movie has received many other awards including the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture too.
